Nothing is better than having a conversation with one of your favorite Metal Bands. In this case Judas Priest! Even after all of these years I get a little nervous. I wasn’t sure how things would go when K.K. left Judas Priest and they added new guitarist Richie Falkner. Then I met him and talked to him. Richie has brought a new level of metal to the band with the blessings of the other members.
I spoke with Faulkner about rumors of Glenn not playing on the record,
“There is the online world and the reality world and they have no idea of what’s going on in reality.”
Now they have another hurdle. The cruel disease plaguing Glenn Tipton. Parkinsons! Glenn was diagnosed only 4 years ago but has been stricken for a decade. When asked about his disease, Tipton said
“It’s cruel… it’s cruel disease if you like and it gets you that way. I have good days and I have bad day. It’s great to have a goal in life and that’s to tread water, not sink.”
On Tuesday, March 20th in New Jersey, Tipton surprised Priest fans by jumping on stage and joining the band for a few songs. When I asked him about the possibility of playing on more show dates, Glenn said,
“As long as I am capable of going on stage and doing my part and doing it well, I love being on stage with priest and will do it as long as I can.”
