The Julien’s Auctions “Hollywood: Legends & Explorers” features some rare items for sale on July 17th and 18th. The two-day extravaganza offers a marquee collection of over 900 items from Hollywood entertainment film and television both past and present. A special category to this year’s edition is an exclusive collection of significant and historical Space artifacts and treasures.
Just some of the unique items that are lister are Chistopher Reeve’s Superman flying and mechanical worn cape, KITT Knight Rider 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, composer John WIlliams’ scores to Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and photographer Jack Warford’s collection of original Star Wars photography prints that have remained unseen for over 40 years.
Also included in the auction are props and costumes from movies and TV shows like Star Trek, Beneath the Planet of the Apes, Breaking Bad, Thelma & Louise, Daredevil, Prison Break, Fargo, Orange is the New Black, and many more.
As for the non-Hollywood items, the NASA space exploration artifacts including Neil Armstrong’s and Buzz Aldrin’s Apollo 11 NASA ruddre control sticks, translation controller, spacesuit globe, and original took kit from Apollo 17’s last mission to the moon are available.
The space suit for 2001: A Space Odyssey is rumored to potential break records during the auction.
Julien’s Auctions has also announced the “Property From The Collection of Steve Martin” will be part of the “Hollywood Legends & Explorers” with his items for sale on July 18th.
