Location: City Deck of Green Bay 325 N Washington St.
Event Description: The second annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes– Green Bay is scheduled for May 3, with check-in beginning at 10 a.m. and the walk beginning at 11 a.m. at the City Deck by Hagemeister Park. It’s an event that participants won’t soon forget. Male participants are encouraged to borrow a pair of man-sized high heels from event organizers to literally walk one mile in the shoes of a woman, while women and children may participate in the comfort of their own walking shoes. Registration is now open at www.walkamilegb.com, and all proceeds from the walk will directly benefit the Brown County Community Coordinated Response Team (CCR), a team formed by the Sexual Assault Center, local law enforcement, Golden House and several other organizations to combat domestic violence and sexual assault in Brown County.
