I can't believe I never thought of this. I've cursed up and down at tape measures all my life because just as I was about ready to take a measurement, the little hook at the end lost its grip and came flying back. Well some genius at Stanley has made a bigger hook. And now he's probably going to make a million dollars. That could have been me, if only I'd thought of it first.
Check out more on the new and improved tape measure over at Gizmodo.
Pat Benatar - Heartbreaker (from the album "In the Heat of the Night")
Eagles - Life in the Fast Lane
Soundgarden - My Wave
Theme :: The microwave oven. Tappan introduced the first microwave on this day in 1955. Blame them for the fact that you have no idea how to cook a meal for yourself, you no longer sit down for a meal with your family every night, and you constantly shove "food" like Hot Pockets, Totino's Pizza Rolls, and popcorn with poisonous "buttery" topping.
On the other hand, you can do cool stuff like this:
Theme :: Richie Cunningham, the son (played by Ron Howard) on Happy Days. Did you realize there are no songs in the WAPL library with "dad" or "father" in them? Otherwise the theme would have reflected today's death of Tom Bosley, who played the dad, Howard Cunningham, on Happy Days.
Theme :: The NES, Nintendo Entertainment System, celebrating its 25th anniversary today and bringing back memories of Super Mario Bros., Duck Hunt, Spy Hunter, Double Dribble, Excitebike, RC Pro-Am, Contra, Metroid, Castlevania, and the Legend of Zelda.
Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A Select Start, bitches.
Hopefully Gotham's villains don't have access to Google Earth. If so, the Joker may be taking a trip to Hinsdale, Illinois, where apparently the Dark Knight wasn't too cautious about decorating the swimming pool at Stately Wayne Manor.
