Elwood’s brother and sister-in-law Jeff and Erin appear in the new “Black Water” music video from The Doobie Brothers!
The Doobie Brothers just released a new version of the song, with each member of the band performing in isolation. During the vocal section in the middle of the song, the band included fan footage from a recent Doobies Sing Along.
Jeff and Erin appear at the 4:09 mark on the left side of the screen, wearing their Doobies t-shirts and standing in front of a poster that Jeff got at the May 23, 1987 Doobie Brothers Reunion Concert at the Hollywood Bowl (on his 21st birthday).
The band had asked fans to participate in a “Black Water” sing along earlier this month.
At the end of this video, you’ll hear a portion of our song “Black Water”. We’re asking you to record your own video singing along & share it using #DoobiesSingalong. We’ll select some of our favorites to appear in a very special Doobie Brothers online performance. Stay safe! pic.twitter.com/3WYIUoSt0J

Here’s the original performance from Jeff and Erin during that singalong:
Gotta love @TheDoobieBros for putting together a little quarantine #DoobiesSingalong. Thanks to Pat & the boys for making us smile (and sing!) on a Saturday night! #BlackWater #ItSoundedBetterWithTheDoobs pic.twitter.com/hMJXOwwhnT

The Doobies are also doing all this for a good cause. According to singer-guitarist Pat Simmons, “We are partnering with Feeding America for our presentation, and would be thankful to anyone who could make a donation to help our neighbors in need during this crucial time.”
WAPL is also doing its part to help Feeding America.
