Every Thin Lizzy Guitar Solo!

Posted by Elwood

Thin Lizzy is one of those bands that I never appreciated until recent years. Of course I knew "The Boys Are Back in Town," and to a lesser extent, "Jailbreak." But beyond that I knew nothing. Thanks to WAPL listener requests for stuff like "Whiskey in the Jar" and "The Cowboy Song," I started exploring more about the best band to come out of Ireland (sorry U2) and have not been disappointed.

For me, Thin Lizzy has become one of the most underrated rock bands of the 70's. If you want proof, look no farther than this compilation of EVERY Thin Lizzy guitar solo from 1971-1983. It's awesome to have on in the background while you're at work.

And if you haven't heard WAPL playing the new song "The Killer Instinct" from Black Star Riders (re-branded Thin Lizzy, without founding bassist and singer Phil Lynott), check it out below. They're playing with Europe at Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee on April 24th.
