The Scorpions recently released a compilation cd of some of their biggest hits re-recorded and some cover songs called "Comeblack". I've never really understood why a band would re-record some of their songs, but what is most puzzling is their choice to cover "Tainted Love". Then again, maybe I shouldn't be so surprised considering Germans think David Hasselhoff is a musical genius.

Check out the Scorpions performing "Tainted Love" live on a German talk show...Enjoy!

Today is the 2nd day in a row I've been flipped the bird while driving. How did I become the a-hole for following the rules? Driving around a parking lot in the designated lanes...following the rules. Driving through a parking lot...illegal.  Turning into the lane closest to me while another driver  SHOULD pull into their closest lane...again...the finger. Apparently the laws of driving do not coincide with the rules of the road.

The Red Rocker, Sammy Hagar tells Forbes.com he's been approached for virtually every lead-singer opening in the past two decades. He says, "I was asked at one time to be in Motley Crue. I was asked at one time to be in Pantera by their managers. I was asked to be in Velvet Revolver when Scott Weiland quit and went back to the Stone Temple Pilots. I was waiting to be asked to be in Led Zeppelin to say no, since they were the greatest band on earth and no one could replace Robert Plant. I was asked to be in Aerosmith and I said no."

After numerous delays, Steven Tyler finally publishes his autobiography, Does the Noise in My Head Bother You?, today. Among the topics he writes about: Steven Tyler on Joe Perry: "My whole life I'd been searching for my mutant twin -- I wanted a brother. I didn't want to be in another band without a brother. I needed a soulmate... We're polar twins. We're total opposites. Joe is cool, Freon runs in his veins. I'm hot, hot-blooded Calabrese, a sulfur sun beast, shooting my mouth off. Joe's a creep... I'm an ass."

Hola from the beautiful Catalonia Bavaro Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic with the 105.7 WAPL International Incident. Looking forward to our broadcast this afternoon. The listeners on the trip certainly provided enough material for the show! Tried to upload a video to the blog, but the internet is kinda sketchy here. I'll try again later in the week. I heard that I'm leading the poll on the WAPL website for who is most likely to be late to their show because they are drunk...Thanks for the vote of confidence...I'll do my best!

Seems these days that everyone is downloading and creating apps! Rush drummer Neil Peart just threw his hat into the app ring! Text RUSH to 247365 for a link to Neil's mobile app download site. Don't forget that WAPL has a mobile app also, available in both the iTunes store and Android market. If you could create an app, what would it be/do?

According to TMZ.com, Ozzy Osbourne rear-ended another car yesterday morning while driving around Los Angeles. There were no injuries and damage was minor.

Ozzy revealed in a recent interview that it took him 19 attempts to obtain his driver's license because he was always "drunk or something." He admitted that he was so nervous during one of the tests that he asked his doctor to prescribe tranquilizers. "So when I had to turn the car, I was simply asleep," he said. "When I woke up, the examiner had simply disappeared, but left a message on a paper on the dashboard: 'Unfortunately, Mr. Osbourne has not passed the exam and would suggest that he never again try to drive this car.'" Ozzy also said that instructors and testers have told him, "I'm not even f**king getting in the car with you."

I hate to say it, but the snow helps. I couldn't imagine a Christmas without snow or at least winter temps. Watched some holiday programming after digging myself out from under the snow drifts. I've got in Merry Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda Christmas and yesterday...Fred Claus. I actually went to see that in the theater and had completely forgotten about it until I flipped through the guide. Still on the list to watch: Rudolph, Christmas Vacation, Scrooged and A Christmas Story.

We lose an average of 100 strands of hair a day...and today, unbeknown to me, one landed on my peanut butter toast. I take a bite, swallow and feel a hair on my tongue, which I frantically grab for and then realize it's wrapped around a small piece of toast that has made it most of the way down my throat. I finally grab the end on my tongue and proceed to pull this hair-wrapped chunk of peanut butter toast up and out of my throat gagging the entire time. And that...is My Stupid Moment of the Day...and it's not even noon yet:)

Sharon Osbourne has a special gift for her husband Ozzy -- one of her breast implants. She tells FOX News, "It's a little something -- or in my case big -- I've meant to get off my chest for a while. I'm going to give one to Ozzy to put by the side of his bed as a paperweight." She says she'll give the other 34-double-D implant to her publicist to use as a "stress buster."

In my opinion, she should give them both to Ozzy for when he's on the road touring, so he can still play with her funbags when they aren't together:)

Hope everyone had a great holiday season. I had a nice chunk of time off to spend with the family and a bit a time to myself, so the best of both worlds for me! Well, mission accomplished, I didn't gain any weight over the holidays and I got to enjoy some holiday delights. Workouts at home are going pretty well, but time to get back to Anytime Fitness to get in some good cardio on the elliptical. I'm down 20lbs. and can tell that some of my clothes are fitting differently, so I need to keep it up. What's nice about Anytime Fitness is that it is so easy to work into a schedule, because you can go and do your thing anytime you want! Plus, the facility is really nice, with new workout machines coming in to target different areas or offer a different kind of workout. It's also a really clean environment, so if you are worried about germs, etc. you don't have to. Everybody wipes down the machines with antibacterial wipes after they are finished, so it's ready for the next person. And I love that many of the cardio machines have their own tv, that really helps pass the time. Anyways, just wanted to check in with a quick update. Take care.
