On May 11th in 1995, nearly five year's after the helicopter crash that claimed the life of guitar great, Stevie Ray Vaughn, long-running series Austin City Limits hosted A Tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan with performances and appearances by many of his musical peers. Eddie Murphy on SNL was some of the funniest stuff I ever saw growing up and much to my deligh, last weekend, NBC re-ran the December 1984 episode he hosted. It was the last time he appeared on the show. Weekend Update with the dolls, Buckwheat, Gumby, Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood all still burned in my mind.
