Ozzy Osbourne explains his decision to stop touring: "You start being like a mouse on the wheel"

Courtesy of MSO PRTuesday, Ozzy Osbourne has announced a 2018 North American leg of his final world tour -- the No More Tours 2 trek.  And afterward, Ozzy met with reporters at his home to explain his decision to stop touring

"I'm not retiring completely, I'm just slowing it down,"  Ozzy said. "Instead of being on the road all the time, I'm just gonna do gigs when [they] come up.  It gets old, you know."

Ozzy said his biggest motivation to stop touring is his family.  "You start being like a mouse on the wheel," Ozzy said. "I'm not saying I haven't enjoyed the touring but it's just, I've got grandchildren now and I never saw my own kids grow."

He continued, "I never had the time to spend with my kids, 'cause I'd come in drunk and go out sober and do some more shows. I want to [see my grandchildren] grow up a little bit."

The No More Tours 2 tour will take Ozzy not just across North America but to South America, Europe and Russia.  But there's one stop he's particularly looking forward to -- Israel.

"I did a show there a few years back -- it was unbelievable," Ozzy said.  Nobody goes there, so they really appreciate it, 'cause in Los Angeles and New York everybody's spoiled there -- you get everybody who's anybody."

Ozzy admitted that he's open to the possibility of a future Vegas residency, though, he's not racing to do one.

And, he may even be doing gigs after he's gone as a hologram, whether he likes it or not. Ozzy joked that he won't be able to complain about it from beyond the grave.  What would he say, he wondered putting on a voice-of-the-dead accent, "I'm the Prince of Darkness. I will haunt you."
