Apparently The Cars’ Ric Ocasek and Paulina Porizkova Have Been Separated For a Year

One of the longest-running celebrity marriages ended quietly while no one was looking.

Ric Ocasek of The Cars and former supermodel Paulina Porizkova have been separated for about a year after being together for almost 29.  In an Instagram post Wednesday, Porizkova said that although their family is still strong, the two are “peacefully separated”.  Ocasek met Porizkova on the set of the band’s video for “Drive” in 1984 and they were married five years later.

And I remember being a bit jealous over the fact that she picked him and not me.  But the fact that she did always gave “teenage me” hope because if he could win a woman like that, maybe I could too.  In all seriousness, 29 years is pretty damn impressive.
