We are proud to name as this week’s Rick and Len Show Weenie of the Week… Andrew J. Reyment of Cecil who this week had charges filed against him for allegedly embezzling about $325,000 from investors for a fishing lure company. Reyment reportedly posted on sites like Craigslist and BizBuySell looking for investors and then used investor funds for his own use. Reyment allegedly told investors he had several patents for fishing lures, but investigators found that to be untrue. He also allegedly told one victim that the lures were being produced at a warehouse in Green Bay. That was found to be untrue as well. Investigators say an ex-girlfriend told them Reyment produced one prototype of a lure, but it didn’t even float.
So,
For choosing lures as the basis for his apparent con job when fishing is LITERALLY the basis for virtually every metaphor there is about scams.
For reportedly luring investors to take the bait. (See what I mean!)
For leaving his investors on the hook for thousands of dollars. (Right?)
For reeling in a bunch of suckers. (Seriously!)
And for apparently getting them to go for his lure scam hook, line and sinker. (How much more on the nose could he be?)
We are proud to name Andrew Reyment of Cecil as this week’s Rick and Len Show …WEENIE OF THE WEEK.
