DO NOT USE YOUR PHONE WHILE DRIVING.
It’s a basic rule of the road. We all know it. Some of us follow it. It pertains to texting, tweeting, checking Instagram, and any other use of your phone. If you’re looking at your screen, your eyes are not on the road. And the police in many states can cite you for it.
Which is why it’s especially distressing that this Missouri police officer was staring at his phone mid-turn and ran head first into a man waiting patiently on his bicycle for traffic to pass. Thankfully, the cyclist wasn’t majorly injured. And thankfully for us, he was wearing a camera on his helmet so we could relive the entire incident.
Be warned, there’s lots of cursing. I’d curse in this situation, too.
