It wasn’t a full-blown attack on humans. Not this time anyway.
A robot accidentally punctured a can of bear repellant at an Amazon fulfillment center in New Jersey Wednesday sending 24 humans to the hospital. All were expected to be released within 24 hours but that didn’t calm the fears of a national union president who said in a statement: “Amazon’s automated robots put humans in life-threatening danger today, the effects of which could be catastrophic and the long-term effects for 80 plus workers are unknown.”
It probably isn’t the beginning of the end, but just in case… “All hail our automated overlords!”
