According to Deadline, Netflix is increasing their rates by 13%-18%. This is the steepest increase they’ve made since launching the streaming platform.
While that increase sounds large, its really not that big of an increase per customer.
Currently, the least expensive Netflix plan (Basic) costs $8 per month. That price will rise to $9 while the most popular option, HD Standard, will go from $11 a month to $13. The 4K Premium plan will also increase price by $2 taking it from $14 a month to $16. The price changes will take effect immediately for new subscribers. For existing subscribers, price changes will be phased in over the next 3 months.
