Supermarket chain Aldi is selling a limited-edition line of cheeses named after popular songs from the ’80s, including references to Def Leppard and Guns n’ Roses. Each package also sports images reflecting the artist who recorded the song.
You can now enhance your favorite meal with:
- “Sweet Cheddar of Mine” (Guns n’ Roses)
- “Pour Some Gouda on Me” (Def Leppard)
- “Girls Just Wanna Have Fontina” (Cyndi Lauper)
- “Billie Goat Is My Lover” (Michael Jackson)
- “Total Eclipse of the Havarti” (Bonnie Tyler)
- “Wake Me Up Before You Goat-Goat” (Wham!)
The products should launch tomorrow, February 6th, just in time for the 61st Annual Grammy Awards. This will be a Happy Farms limited release with each of the six products priced at $3.49.
I think this is great, so here are bunch of additional ideas for Aldi’s next round of musical cheeses:
- “You Ricotta Know” (Alanis Morissette)
- “Call Me the Brie” (Lynyrd Skynyrd)
- “Some Kind of Muenster” (Metallica)
- “Mozzarella Ledbetter” (Pearl Jam)
- “Swiss-issippi Queen” (Mountain)
- “Edam and Smile” (David Lee Roth)
- “Don’t Stop Brie-lieving” (Journey)
- “Blue Shook Me All Night Long” (AC/DC)
- “Red Bar Feta” (Rush)
- “Provolonely is the Night” (Billy Squier)
- “Life’s Been Gouda” (Joe Walsh)
