In this case, DUIĀ also stands for Dancing Under the Influence.
Police in Holiday, Florida noticed a running truck with its brake lights on in front of a closed business. Upon inspection, they discovered 33-year-old Christopher Larson… asleep in the driver’s seat with his foot on the brake.
After several attempts, the officers were able to wake Larson, who failed to put the truck into park before exiting for his sobriety test. Luckily one of the deputies was able to jump in and hit the brakes to prevent a collision.
The fun part (see the video below) is that when Larson was asked to do a standard “walk in a straight line, turn around, and walk back” test, he lost his balance and started dancing through the test, stopping to shake his booty and give a little spin now and then.
After Larson’s arrest, Deputies say he admitted he had been drinking since around 6 p.m. Deputies say Larson thought it was 10 p.m. when it was actually after 2 a.m. He also believed he was in Clearwater, which is 25 minutes away from their location in Holiday.
Larson had a .28 BAC at the time, more than three times the legal limit. He was arrested for driving under the influence and taken to the Pasco County Jail.
