It was barely a dusting of snow. Kathryn and her husband left for work without issue. But the next day, Kathryn received an email notifying her of a $100 fine because her car had violated the HOA’s rules on “displaying offensive images or slogans.”
“Your car, specifically the Honda, left this offensive image on the ground after you left. I believe you will see why we have had complaints about it. One of our residents took the photo and reported it to us out of concern for our younger residents.”
Judge for yourself…
The couple could only laugh at the email regarding their parking lot snow-wiener outline.
“This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of being fined for, and we flat out told them we weren’t paying. Eventually, they realized we were serious about not paying, and since there were no by-laws on the books about something like this, they dropped it.”
