The dog has finally caught its own tail… KISS – possibly the most-merchandised band in the world – is releasing a book about their own late 70’s/early 80’s merchandising craze.
KISS: The Hottest Brand in the Land is the “officially licensed story” of the band’s merchandising heyday. The 10×10-inch coffee table book will feature 390 photo pages of “everything released” including KISS lunch boxes, KISS clothing, KISS comic books, KISS trash cans, KISS belt buckles, KISS action figures, and loads more including rare items from fans’ personal collections around the world.
We may even get a peek at how much money Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and the other band members made, as the book promises to “open the vault on the deals, correspondence, and money made between licensees and the band.”
The standard edition sells for $99, with a deluxe edition for $149, and is expected to ship in July or August of 2019.
