Brown County is looking for more 911 dispatchers.
Public Safety Communications Director Cullen Peltier says they have about 60 workers right now but they lose about seven a year. He says it can be tough to have a full staff because training can take up to 15 weeks. He says that creates more stress for workers because then they have to work more overtime, and they end up losing even more employees because of that.
Peltier says they try to accommodate people’s schedules as much as possible to have a good life-work balance.
