Wayback at the beginning of his career, 1961 to be exact, future music legend Bob Dylan wrote the lyrics to a song about Wisconsin. It was uncovered a couple of years ago and Milwaukee based singer-songwriter Trapper Schoepp did what Dylan didn’t. He set it to music and finished it. Dylan has even agreed to share publishing credit with him. Now, Trapper has taken the next step and shot a video. It’s a little heavy on Milwaukee celebs but I’m sure you’ll recognize a few of these folks. What’s more, it’s a delightfully catchy tune.
If you’re not familiar with Trapper Schoepp, he released a wonderful CD last year inspired by Bay Beach that included tunes like The Zippin Pippin.
