A woman named Danielle Reno in Kansas City, Missouri, stopped at a convenience store last Tuesday night, where her SUV was promptly stolen by three women.
Danielle filed a police report, but also decided to do a little of her own detective work, leaving her credit cards open so she could monitor how the thieves were using them.
Over the next two days, she monitored where the thieves were going. Eventually, tracking them to a gas station near Danielle’s home. A clerk there said she heard the women talking about going to Applebee’s. So Danielle headed to the Applebee’s nearby, sat down, waited, and soon enough the thieves drove up in her SUV and walked into the restaurant.
Danielle stole back her SUV, then called the police all while she livestreamed it on Facebook.
