A Kansas farmer is telling a Kansas City TV station that he had problems with the suspect in the presumed deaths of two brothers from the Shiocton area.
Twenty-five-year-old Garland “Joey” Nelson is in custody, on a charge that he drove the truck rented by 35-year-old Nick Diemel and 24-year-old Justin Diemel.
The Diemels disappeared last month, after visiting Nelson’s farm in Braymer, Missouri, while they were on a business trip. They co-owned Diemel’s Livestock.
David Foster of Fort Scott, Kansas told KCTV that he had a cattle deal with Nelson. When things started to go bad, Foster says he started recording phone calls with Nelson. Foster says at one point, Nelson mentioned hurting himself or someone else.
