The mother of a hit and run victim hopes the person who struck her son early Saturday morning will come forward.
Kelly Verhasselt says twenty-three-year old Colin was walking on Grenier Road near the intersection of Maloney Road in the town of Freedom when he was hit from behind.
She believes it happened between 1:30 a.m. and 1:45 a.m.
Verhasselt says he was hit with such force that it knocked him out of his shoes and he ended up in a ditch.
Colin Verhasselt has a broken back and concussion.
The Outagamie County sheriff’s department is still searching for the driver or anyone who has information.
