“This was NOT the best way to take down a hornet’s nest,” says the brother of this particular idiot.
Dave Schmida of Massachusetts first tried using insecticide spray to get rid of the hornet nest on his home, but that didn’t work. So he decided to use a Roman candle instead.
A video taken by his brother, Matthew, shows Dave launching the firework toward the hornets nest in a corner of the roof of their home. The fourth shot ignited the nest… and along with it the roof. Luckily, Dave was able to put the fire out with an extinguisher. However, there is now a hole in the house.
“I did get rid of the bees, so I would say mission accomplished,” Dave Schmida added.
