An Appleton man and his six-year-old son toured every park in the city, during the summer.
Keith Schuch says he wanted to make sure Blake got outside and played. The six-year-old has autism, and Schuch says he didn’t want Blake to spend all of his time looking at a screen.
Of the 29 parks they visited, Schuch says Vosters Park on the northeast side was a surprise. He says it wasn’t very busy, and it had a nice playground, walking trails, and a tee-pee.
Keith says they started with a visit to Telulah Park, and that’s when the idea to tour all of the city’s parks hit him.
He says Blake’s favorite one is City Park, because of the fountain.
