South Park has been renewed for three more seasons, which will push the long-running animated series over 300 episodes.
The 30-episode renewal comes two weeks before the premiere of the show’s 23rd season. The already longest-running prime-time scripted series in cable will now run through a record 26th season and at least 327 episodes.
Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone said, “Apparently, our efforts to get our own show cancelled have fallen short. Luckily, we love Comedy Central… and our staff so we are looking forward to new cancellation opportunities in the next few years.”
