A state lawmaker from Appleton is calling for a close look at violence against Native American women.
Democratic Rep. Amanda Stuck is proposing a bill to create a task force. She says they’re more likely to be killed, or go missing. She says for some reason, police don’t always follow up on missing person reports, thinking that they just ran away.
Stuck hopes the task force can recommend some steps that state lawmakers could take to deal with the issue.
