Beau Liegeois will succeed retiring Judge William Atkinson.
Liegeois made an unsuccessful bid for the eighth congressional district seat in 2016, running as a Democrat against Republican Congressman Mike Gallagher of Green Bay.
He’s been with the Brown County DAs office for 11 years, and he was a member of the Wisconsin Army National Guard.
