There are three new ambulances in the City of Oshkosh.
The fire department expects they’ll reduce physical stress on EMTs. Paramedic Eric Shea says one of the biggest features is a “power cot.” It uses hydraulics to help lift large patients into the vehicle.
The Oshkosh Fire Department has seen an increase in lifting injuries because the population is getting heavier.
