Oshkosh officials say they’re taking steps to protect taxpayers’ interests in the bankrupt Menominee Nation Arena.
The city has filed a notice with the federal court that it will withhold a TIF payment to Fox Valley Pro Basketball on November 1, because the ownership group was late in paying its property taxes for this year.
City Manager Mark Rohloff says they’re still willing to work with the owners, if they can get their financial house in order.
Fox Valley Pro Basketball was going to receive $430,000 in TIF funding this year.
