The lawyer for Steven Avery thinks an inmate’s claims of killing Teresa Halbach aren’t credible.
A day after tweeting about a possible confession by an inmate, attorney Kathleen Zellner posted pictures of a letter from a convicted killer.
A jury found Joseph Evans, Jr. guilty in 2009 of shooting his wife in Marinette County. He’s serving a life prison sentence, without the possibility of parole.
Evans claims he killed Halbach at the Avery Salvage Lot.
The letter comes after Evans sent one nearly three years ago, claiming that Avery admitted to murdering Halbach.
The latest one starts by mentioning Zellner’s $100,000 reward. He later asks for an additional $250,000, along with any attorney fees or lawsuit costs.
