The Brown County Crime Prevention Foundation is handing out its annual grants.
Sheriff Todd Delain says they like to use their money to increase community outreach.
The foundation is giving $18,000 to five police agencies and one community group. The money comes from a special surcharge people pay, after they’re convicted of misdemeanor and felony charges.
