The City of Oshkosh is making a TIF payment to the owners of the Menominee Nation Arena to help keep the doors open this winter.
City Manager Mark Rohloff says many companies that do business with the arena asked to reconsider a decision to withhold the money. Fox Valley Pro Basketball defaulted on its development agreement, and Rohloff says the city is making sure to get the money it is owed first, for utilities and police and fire services.
Rohloff was a guest on Fresh Take with Josh Dukelow on WHBY this morning.
The TIF payment was initially expected to be for about $430,000.
