The expansion of the Brown County jail is included in the proposed county budget.
Sheriff Todd Delain hopes the county board will approve the funding in November.
The $14 million project will add 128 beds.
Delain expects site work would start this fall, with construction to follow in the spring. He hopes to be able to move in, in June of 2021.
