An Appleton woman was arrested for driving drunk, after her ignition interlock device went off.
A state trooper saw 53-year-old Tina Berton on Highway 441 in Winnebago County, and her horn was honking, and her hazard lights were flashing.
Berton told the trooper the device was “indicating a violation.” It’s a breathalyzer that some convicted drunk drivers need in their cars.
They have to blow into them to start their car. If they fail re-tests while they’re driving, the horn will go off and their lights will flash.
It was Berton’s fifth drunk driving arrest.
