Clintonville’s school superintendent says the district is reviewing its approach to diversity and cultural education and looking to make improvements.
Superintendent David Dyb issued a statement today, after Homecoming activities were cancelled or postponed for safety reasons.
Several students did a mock tribal dance during a dance-off competition, and video was posted on social media.
Dyb says they’re continuing to talk with the neighboring Native American tribes, the Great Lakes Intertribal Council, and the state Department of Public Instruction.
The Homecoming dance will be rescheduled.
