The Green Bay school board is looking through the proposed budget for this year.
The $279 million plan would increase property taxes by about $60 for the owner of a $150,000 home.
Superintendent Michelle Langenfeld says declining enrollment could have an impact on future budgets, and some state lawmakers are exploring ways to provide relief.
The district’s tax rate would be $9.97 per thousand dollars of value.
An additional $5 million would go toward special education. That includes about $1.5 million to have bus aides on all special ed bus routes.
The school board plans to vote on the budget in a couple of weeks.
