A special visitor is making the rounds in Little Chute today.
Burgemeester Henk Hellegers is in from Uden, Netherlands. A Burgemeester is like an American mayor.
Village Administrator James Fenlon says Hellegers wanted to check out the Dutch heritage in the area. He says they set up tours of St. John Church and the windmill, plus a dinner at Liberty Hall in Kimberly.
Many of the early Dutch settlers in Little Chute were from the Uden area, and the two communities have an unofficial “sister city” relationship.
