The woman charged with the overdose death of a pregnant woman is also accused of smuggling drugs into the Brown County jail through the mail.
Prosecutors say Cassie Nygren was having a friend send postcards that were tampered with, or had powdered drugs on them.
She’s facing charges of conspiracy to deliver illegal items to an inmate and conspiracy to deliver amphetamine.
Prosecutors believe she arranged to get the drugs through letters and phone calls.
Another inmate, Taylor LaPlant, is facing the same charges.
