Fewer students are going to UW System schools this year.
Enrollment is down 2.6 percent.
UW-Oshkosh is seeing a steeper decline at 3.5 percent. The numbers at UWO Fox Cities campus fell by almost 31 percent.
UW-Green Bay is on the other end of the spectrum, with a nearly 10 percent increase. There are close to 8,100 students, and that’s a record.
UW System President Ray Cross isn’t surprised by the overall decline. He says there are fewer high school graduates, and a low unemployment rate.
