Last month was a good one for the housing market in the state.
Economist David Clark of the Wisconsin Realtors Association says sales were up about five percent in September, compared to a year ago. The median price climbed around seven percent to $195,000.
New listings rose by five percent but Clark says inventories are still tight, especially in the metropolitan counties.
Sales were only up one percent in the northeast region. The median price was up eight percent to almost $170,000.
