A nonprofit is trying to raise $5 million for an endowment in Brown County.
Encompass Executive Director Sue Vincent says they want to help families afford quality care and education and support teachers. Last year, the group handed out about $400,000 in scholarships.
It’s the 100th anniversary of the organization, and Vincent says they want to celebrate by adding to their current $3 million endowment.
Encompass serves more than 1,300 children between six weeks and 12 years old, at seven centers in Green Bay, Allouez, and Pulaski.
