The next phase of a development along the Fox River in Appleton could be more valuable than anticipated.
The Alexander Company already built the Eagle Point Senior Living apartments on the former site of the Foremost Dairy plant. Now there are plans for a 28-unit Community-Based Residential Facility, just to the north.
Community Development Director Karen Harkness says the one-story building could be valued at $5.1 million. She’s asking the city to change the development agreement, because that’s $3 million more than the initial proposal for townhouses.
The site is in a TIF district, and the city could provide incentives of up to $1.275 million dollars.
The city council could talk about the proposal tonight.
