A filmmaker from Wisconsin is bringing her documentary on PTSD to Green Bay Wednesday night.
“Light in the Darkness: Living Well After Trauma” will be at the Meyer Theater.
Kimberly Resch says nearly 10 percent of people in the country will suffer from PTSD at some point in their lives. She says while the issues with veterans get plenty of attention, it can affect people in the aftermath of sexual assault, domestic abuse, car accidents, and a death in the family.
Resch was born in Wisconsin Rapids, and she says the documentary won awards at a number of film festivals.
The event at the Meyer Theater starts at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, and there will be a panel discussion on PTSD afterward.
