The design for Kimberly’s new Treaty Park on the former paper mill site leans heavily on the history of that spot.
Community Enrichment Director Holly Femal says items from the mill are in the park. That includes the original dryer roll that was by the main entrance to the mill. It’s on the north end of the park.
Femal says the trail that goes through the park is designed to look like paper going through the rolls of a paper machine.
Treaty Park officially opened yesterday. It also has a gazebo, and the first ADA accessible playground in the village.
