Green Bay School District officials are defending their decision to teach more English to students with another primary language.
The School Board approved changes to the bilingual program to increase English instruction time from just 10 percent to 70 percent.
Associate Superintendent John Magas says test scores support the move.
Some bilingual teachers oppose the changes. They argue kids in the program just need a few more years to catch up to their peers.
