Deputies say a Berlin man apologized for leading police on a high-speed chase through two counties.
Joseph Walker III says he “panicked” when he saw the flashing lights of Green Lake County Sheriff’s deputies. They were trying to stop him for speeding Sunday night.
They say the ensuing chase hit speeds of 110 miles an hour, before Fond du Lac County deputies blew out Walker’s tires along Highway 67 near Lomira. He’s accusing of trying to run away, but he was caught in a nearby wooded area.
