The 16-year old boy accused of stabbing a police resource officer at Oshkosh West High School will likely spend the weekend in jail. The Winnebago County District Attorney’s office says a Court Commissioner has signed off on a probable cause statement–allowing authorities to hold the teen beyond the time where an initial court appearance would be required. The D-A will not be releasing details contained in that statement, as it includes information that is not yet public. They are considering attempted first degree intentional homicide charges against the boy. He is accused of stabbing West Resource Officer Mike Wissink during a confrontation in the school Tuesday morning.
