The whole tooth and nothing but the tooth… An Alaskan dentist, Seth Lookhart, extracted a patient’s tooth while riding a hoverboard…yep … a hoverboard.
A ‘new standard of care’ this is not. The dentist actually recorded the act without the patient’s permission or knowledge.
The state of Alaska charged Lookhart with “unlawful dental acts,” claiming that riding a hoverboard during a procedure violates the minimum professional standards of dentistry.
Lookhart’s attorney apologized in court to the victim stating that his client’s actions were, “unacceptable“.
Even if Lookhart is cleared in this case, he’s still facing more than 40 other charges stemming from over-billing and performing unnecessary procedures, assumedly not on a hoverboard?
Being from Alaska, I guess the patient should be thankful it wasn’t performed on ice.
The trial wraps up this week.
