The Oshkosh police department has a new K-9.
Officer Kate Mann says Legend is a two-year-old Labrador retriever, and he’s training to search for drugs and track people.
She says Legend is different than their other two K-9s. They’re trained as “bite dogs” to help officers take people into custody.
By adding a third dog, Mann says they’ll be able to have a K-9 unit on duty on every shift.
